Johnny Cyberpunk

In the story it talks about a person named Johnny who is a data trafficker. HE even went to great lengths and put a chip in his head so that way he can have more memory and look back on things. He also has a shotgun. Jones is a cyborg and is used to crack the code and break into Johnny's bank. This is a postmodern and a cyberpunk story because it is a different type of story. having to do with hacking is also another way that makes it post modern and a cyberpunk story.

      Postmodernism is a different and very confusing style of writing. It breaks the fourth wall, and is not told in any order. In Slaughterhouse-5 Kurt Vonnegut writes a story about a man named Billy Pilgrim and Vonnegut does everything that Post Modernism is in the story. 

      Breaking the fourth wall is only used once in Slaughterhouse-5 and this is different than any other story. It makes the story confusing because the person talking to us is giving away information that we may not need to no yet. This is why Slaughterhouse-5 is a Post Modernism story because it breaks the fourth wall. Breaking the fourth wall can cause a lot of confusion.

      Slaughterhouse-5 is not told in any order and this is different than most stories because it is not in chronological order. An example is when Billy is in the hospital and then he closes his eyes and is back in the war. Another example is when Billy is with the Tralfamadorians and then back on Earth the very next day. This is why Slaughterhouse-5 is a Post Modernism book because it is not in chronological order. 

      Slaughterhouse-5 is Post Modernism because it breaks the fourth wall and is not told in any order throughout the story. These are just two of many techniques that use Post Modernism and Vonnegut uses them very effectively.

Howard Cambell Jr
     Was a American and became a Nazi.

     Said that Red is for the American Patriots who lost their lives in the past.

     A writer.
     Billy met him in 1964.
     Doesn't care about other people.
     Is driven by Billy to deliver a paper route. 
     Puts everything about him in his books he writes.
February 13 1945 Dresdon is destroyed.


Valencia
     Billy's wife.
     She got in a car crash on her way to the hospital and died from Carbon Dioxide.
Starts to talk about the Atomic Bomb and how it was used in WWII.
Billy
     Woke up in the hospital and didn't know what was going on.
     Missed his wives funeral because he was still to sick.
Tralfamadorians.
     Told Billy to enjoy his happy experiences and to ignore the bad ones.
Billy.
     Cried about the trasportation.
     Had his daughter take him home.
    Snuck out and went to New York City.
Monatana.
     "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom always to tell the difference.


Aliens
    See Charles Darwin as the most important human being.

     Discovered that the door was open and the war was over.
     The transporttion was the carrage and horses that he cried for.
     A bird was singing "Poo-tee-weet."
          This is what the narrator said his next book was going to end.

     Billy and Pilot are the only survivors.
     Billy was operated from a surgeon for 3 hours.
Back at the slaughterhouse.
     Had spoons hidden with syrup on them.
     Billy gave a lollipop to Derby and he started to cry.


Page 156 "Billy, knowing that the plane was going to crash pretty soon, closed his eyes, traveled back in time to 1944."
     This quote is important because it shows that Billy knows how to control his time travel a little but because he closed his eyes right before something bad was going to happen to avoid it.

Wakes up in prison.

     Falls asleep and when he wakes up he is building a latrine.

     China drop a hydrogen bomb in Chicago.
     U.S. divided into 20 nations.
     Billy was killed but then sent back to 1945.

Billy couldn't sleep on his daughter's wedding night.
      He new that the aliens were coming for him.
WWII bomber story was told backwards and stopped with Adam and Eve.
Saucer
     100 ft diameter.
     Opened up and took Billy inside of it.
There is no "why" as to why Billy was chosen to go with the aliens.
Everyone told Billy to leave them alone while trying to sleep.
Camp
     Edgar Derby is 40 years old.
     Paul Lazarro is in the worst shape of the men.
Billy wakes up and is wondering how he got were he is.
Aliens eyes are yellow.
