Melancholy-Sadness 
The children are very melancholy from there parents death.

Exemplary-Desirable model
Exemplary people deserve praise.


Peculiar-Strange or odd

The kid was so peculiar that no one wanted to be friends with him.

Dread-Great fear

He dreaded the long ride home because they almost crashed on the way up there.

Bough-A main branch of a tree.

The bough was so strong that it did not break during the storm.

Pious-Reiligious

Most of the people in the world are pious.

Communion-Exchanging of thoughts and feelings
The class learned from others communion.

Auditor-A listener

There was only one auditor in the stands, everyone else was talking.

Multitude-A large number

There was a multitude of people at the party last night.

Eloquence-Fluent or persuasive speaking or writing.

The professor was so eloquence that I understood why he was doing things the way he did.

Despair-The complete loss of hope
When his wife dies, he had became despair.

Hoary-Aged
You could see that the old man was hoary due to his wrinkled skin.
