Spring Vocab #1

1.Probaskis-Nose
His probaskis was huge.

2.Pantomime-Using gestures, not speech.
He pantomimed his poem in from of the class.


3.Proclivities-Tendency to choose or do something regulary.
The boy had many proclivities.

4.Centrofuge-Compartment around an axis to separate contained materials of different density.
The centrofuge was very high.

5.Odious-Extremely unpleasant.
The smell was so odious that everyone left the room.

6.Jargon-Nonsensical or incoherent talk.
The child was very jargon as he was explaining his story.

7.Ravenious-Extremely hungry.
The dog was ravenious because he was not fed by his owner.

8.Parlor-A room set apart for the entertanment of visitors.
The parlor in my house is huge.

9.Stagnent-Showing no activity/Not moving.
The dog was stagnent after it was hit by the car.

10.Cacophony-A harsh sound.
Scratching a chalk board is cacophony.

11.Tampt-Top pack down tightly.
The snow is very tampt.

12.Flourish-Grow or thrive.
The trees continue to flourish every day.

13.Plateau-An area of elevated flat ground.
The house is on a plateau.

14.Rollick-To romp/Frolic
Please don't rollick on the flowers.

15.Asylum-Shelter to protect from danger.
Everyone went into the asylum when they heard the first bomb drop.
